In Maryland they want to raise ours 5 cents a pop for the next five years. The politicians raided the transportation fund and now have no money to spend on our crumbling infrastructure. Of course we all know what's going to happen when it goes through. They'll raise it, raid the fund and say that they have no money, time for more taxes.

Gas tax in Ontario is .65c a litre.

and it is aweful in Australia too we even pay GST on the tax.

reasons, here in Canada we are paying approximately $1.15 a litre

for gas, about 38 cents of that is tax (provinicial and federal)....
