darlin....these are tiles and will clean just like any other carpet
but we have a few spares so if something bad happens we can lift the tile and replace it.
I have a bath mat to place over it for us to step onto after we bathe, and then hang over a rail to dry. All is carefully thought out....thank you for being concerned dear one.
