lion, this reminds me of a friend I had for years...
he always had time to sit and "chew the fat" with anyone who would...he's gone on to a better life now, but I'm sure still has plenty to say to all who will listen....very nicely put..

Lovely characterization! I knew an old guy in Wast Nyack
who lived somewhere inside an impossible warren of old furniture and machine parts, but who'd sit out in the sun in good weather and chat with anyone who had the time. Life doesn't have much space or time for such people any more. Nice poem, Lion. - Bob
