My Mom and Dad were one of the "lifetime" couples. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary even though my Dad had no real idea of what was going on as his Alzheimers Dx had advanced. Once in a while he would say to me, "Who is that old woman?" and she would be so hurt. Other times he would cling to her and be so happy.
