Kay, I was godfather for a Jamaican couple in Miami once who shopped for toys each Christmas Eve when the prices dropped. Then they stashed them away for NEXT Christmas! Ah, to be that young and energetic again! - Bob

Re: No kidding! You play Santa, too? I've been doing it at a
local diner for years, though I skipped last year due to a flu outbreak I wanted no part of. It was fun - you could see the differences in age - some of the little ones were true believers and you had to act accordingly. Many older ones were budding cynics, but just to keep them on track, I told them they had to tell me a knock-knock joke first. - Bob

I suppose one has to be stalwart to deal with kids these days, wet nappies and such being plonked on one's lap as one pretends to be merry. I usually grow a large white beard when applying, but It will not grow on my face. Have you authenticated the latter half of your poem not that it matters, but one has to be careful of copywrite.
