My husband's company took advantage of the poor economy earlier this year, and made their employees take a pay cut. Their reason: they wanted to ward off any future economical disaster. It was stated as a "just in case" measure. So instead of rewarding the employees because the company was doing so well, they penalized them. Welcome to American Business.
