Re: But then there are the fraidy cats who just disappear till
mealtime and then vanish again.  My son has two like that - like Elvis sightings. - Bob

Sometimes one of the cats will sneak up on the dogs tail...it is fun to watch them play together.

Re:I love both dogs and cats, but when it comes to playfulness,
there's no comparison.  On the other hand, a cat refuses to be taken for granted and is, therefore, more interesting.  I'v heard that their "above-it-all" attitude is really stupidity, an inability to see the point of anything not related to food and comfort.  That may be right, but it's more fun the other way! - Bob

Re: Yes we did, in fact, quite a lot of them despite the foot of snow
two days before.  On the other hand, I shouldn't have been surprised   because so many schools were closed by the power outage .  Because of the snow, the kids had to come to the side door which has a roll-up shade that I can hide behind before suddenly rolling it up.  Startling.  Pretty Katy and her kids Elise and Adam came by for trick or treat.  We had cider and tried on the different masks in the kitchen.  Nice. - Bob

A really nice little homely scene blended into comfortable poem.  Bob, Did you have the trick or treaters, I remember you did last year
