I apologize, Jay.  First, I should have posted this on the other blog.  Second, King shouldn't be here.  I got carried away by my hope that the Occupiers won't screw up. - Bob

Re: Re:Read it, Jay, and thank you. I don't doubt that dishonesty and even
particularly stupid bigotry are present.  But BOTH sides need to be careful about painting the other with a single
shade of paint!  I can't believe that so many of the protestors are not what they claim to be - people out of work
who have no other recourse than to complain long and publicly.  And once you decide to stop just reading the news and decide to go out in the streets and try to make a difference, you lose control of who your fellow protesters are going to be.  Some of them might embarrass you, but there's no master-at-arms to get rid of them.  Should you go home, then, and pick up the newspaper again, or stay there and try not to be misunderstood?
There are issues either side can point to - outsourced jobs, taxes, waste, million-dollar bonuses, who's getting
financial support from  whom, stubbornness, concern about the economy (money IS life, no matter what they say), and so on.  I think the most precious thing at stake here is the right to protest.  Martin Luther King's
genius, I've always thought, was laying out the problem so even his enemies had to acknowledge he had a point.
You have to take a lot of punishment until the tactic works.  He even managed to recruit saints who turned the other cheek time and again until prejudice got sick of what it stood for. He was imperfect, but he's a model,
So is anyone who listens hard, can sort out what he hears.
End of sermon.  Sorry. - Bob

You are so right Bob...she becomes the art...By the way I have answered your comment yesterday on The Age Of Linclon on my politics blog if you care to read it. I was afraid I ruffled a few feathers here and there so I explaned my thoughts.

Re: But I for one am not astounded by your unfailing good will. Underneath
all, you are a decent chap, despite what others say. No crop circles?  Well, mud won't do at all.  I have trouble hearing dialog these days, too.  As for the rest, me and hosta go way back - most forgiving decorative plant an
amateur gardner ever brought home from a nursery!  The deer love it too, and stay away from it only if  spray it
with peppermint.  Go figure. - Bob

Bob I really like hostas as long as they are not in my wasteland. I have never seen crop circles in muddy fields but you can be invented as is your wont, I would be a bit dubious about putting your mates up. The sheep pens are full up due to the downpours we are having. No I do not wish you to stop this series, I have watched old films on the box, but the music is too loud sometimes to hear the articulation which makes a good movie special. I promise to look your characters up and astound everyone with my new found knowledge.

Re: 2902 Yes it did, Bill. Her accent was flawless, and she probably
teased Clint Eastwood into a great performance, himself. - Bob

Re:We're part of a very big fan club, Shobana. The last time I saw her
"disappear into a role" was when she played Julia Child.  Uncanny, right down to the laugh!- Bob
