It was a good game for the Lions but one cannot help but have empathy for Tebow! I do not see where the Broncos are helping him in his transition to the NFL! For example, they opened up with game with an impressive drive that led to 3 points, and they narrowly missed a TD. Then Denver goes away from what worked and the Lions ate him up so to speak! Denver has more problems than Qb, they are not good on defense and any O line that allows that many sacks should be ashamed of themselves! It seems like Fox, and probably Elway for that matter, are not on the side of Tebow! He has a lot of work to do, especially on his footwork, but when they are not behind him he cannot succeed! I did notice my guys were getting winded toward the end of the game but they held tough!

Congrats to the Niners, they continue to impress. Who knows how it will end up but at 6-1, it looks good for them! I just want Detroit to make the playoffs, and then let it fall as it will! But, for me, they are a scary good football team that could upset a few of the established teams!

I loved seeing the Cowboys get their butts kicked, too! It so angers me that the TV cites them as America's team! Makes me ill because they are only one team in America! lol sam

Re:
At any rate, Sam. Congratulation on your decisive win over the Denver Broncos. To cruise past the home team while being a mile high in the thin mountain air is very impressive. Your boys must be in great shape. Keep up the good work, JIm

Re:
Howdy, Sam!

I stand behind my comments about the cheating by the refs. I've been following the Niners week by week for decades. I see those games. Unless you are a 49er fan, which you obviously are not, you don't really care. Think about it. For example, the 1986 SB 49er champs would have gone 19-0 if the refs hadn't blown an interference call out of their backsides. You no doubt didn't know about that. The refs don't have to cover up their ongoing cheating in front of all the fans, they just have to disguise their sins in front of those who were just cheated.

Watch what happens in Detroit's games against Green Bay. NFL refs love to carry Green Bay on their backs. Did you see the Tampa Bay Bucs illegally execute Niner QB Steve Young, while the refs stood by with their flags and whistles stuck up their backsides? No, you probably were, understandably, watching a Detroit game that weekend. The Monday night SF-GB game in 1994 was the most blatant and NFL history changing cheatfest in history. With the Packer adoring referees calling the shots, the Lions have little or no chance against GB in Lambeau or Motown. The Lions could beat the Packers. But not the refs and the Pack at the same time.

Actually it got started way before anything you stated happened! I am a Lions' fan and I saw the game. The games are called as they are; some weeks one gets them other weeks not so! But, I never put anything on the referee because it has to be taken care of in the trenches no matter what! The incident I am referring to is when Harbaugh was flagged for calling for a review on a play he could not challenge! My guy, Schwartz got it going there when he was yelling at Harbaugh about knowing the rules and such! He used colorful language as well; now, Harbaugh may not have seen it or heard it but I can tell you that it got to him. I believe there would have been a different kind of handshake/pat or slap on the back had Schwartz not done what he did in the beginning! The thing to do is to walk away and Schwartz chose to keep it going when he chased Harbaugh! But, Schwartz has bigger problems that what happened at the end of the game! The offense clearly had enough time to go down for a score but clock management and horrible play calling plus no sense of urgency is the bigger problem for him! Anyway, Schwartz started it and he needs to own up to and then let the damn thing go to rest because it is marring an otherwise fantastic game! sam
