Yes we don't want to stay in the grey too long Joe. The days become more precious.

I agree with taps...I had cancer some years ago and it did make me
re think my life.

Near death is quite a life-changing experience. 
It does make one do a bit of evaluation.

Sounds like getting an unwelcome infusion. I'm a diabetic, and last
week I woke up at 2AM with a low blood sugar of 35.  I was cold, sweaty, couldn't concentrate, disoriented.  My first thought was "So THIS is what dying's like."  When I got to the ER, the first thing they had to treat me for was
hypothermia!  Vwey weird! - Bob
