Thank you for sharing your brother's life with me. I cry with you and hurt with you but I truly believe in those little signs that God gives to us during the passing of our loved ones. For me, every time I see a yellow butterfly, I am reminded of my sister who passed in 2008 with pancreatic cancer. Her son was not able to attend her funeral and he said a yellow butterfly lighted on his shoulder that morning and stayed there for awhile; about the same time she passed away. He felt that this was her sign of farewell to him and that she was alright and that he would be, too. And so will you because you are surrounded with Love.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. What a battle Bird endured and we can only assume he is at peace now. There will be many signs to come - I feel them all the time from loved ones I have lost.

You have done so much already, Justi
Maybe without even realizing it. Not only for us, and I have faith that you will continue to be there to help so many others. You give so freely of yourself, and it is exactly what people need in trying times. Hugs to you!

He took my love with him, and left his here for me. We had a special bond that conquered even this separation - it will always be there.

Re: I'm sorry, but I'm not smiling yet, dear Adnohr.
Pat_B, I did smile, albeit through tears. The tears were for me, because there is an aching loss inside - I am so going to miss him. At the same time, just knowing he had arrived, and all was well, filled me with gratitude. And Bird is the kind of person easy to share - his love was so unconditional - one can't help but react in kind.

Thank you, dear Justi.
Please thank your prayer groups for both of us too. I am sure those requests eased his way when it the time arrived. Bird knew about it, and appreciated it greatly.

You've said it, Ciel. The soul does know, and the heart does feel, all the same. Thank you.

Thank you CCT
Losing someone you love is never easy. He would be pleased that you feel priviledged - lol - in fact, being Bird - he would probably have said
'Of course! To know me is to love me!'

You are certainly right, Sam
in that Bird would definitely give me a push to get going! Yes, I am aching - but for myself, and others here who will miss him like crazy! But I am also so thankful that his terrible suffering is ended, and I know he is home.
Wasn't into the last game - but c ya tomorrow night if you're there!

I'm sorry, but I'm not smiling yet, dear Adnohr.
I know Bird is in a peaceful place, and that he cared for you and cherished your time together. But I am so sorry he's gone. Your tender mercies to him have been an inspiration to me and I am so grateful you shared him with us here on Blogit.

Sweetheart I both cry with you in sadness of the space he leaves here; however, he is healed now and the cry truns to joy. He is at peace you have his sign, he is home. He is rested, he is well he is at peace and he is sending you love and blessing. I send you my blessing, my love and my thoughts that you have graduated darling. It is time to rest a while regardless of what appears to be needed. You are a grand lady.

Well you did your best Adnohr, we always feel sorry for the one who has died, but really it is for ourselves. I always try to tell myself that, but it is a job to feel like that at this time. He was a brave guy and I feel priviledged to have felt these emotions if only for a while.

O my, Adnohr! I am so sorry for you and your family! I know there aren't words to soothe an aching heart but I believe the light and the warmth in the room was a sign that all is well with him. Hell, he's probably aching for us that we have to stay here a little longer. I have tears in my eyes and my heart is so sad for you but I believe you are going to be okay too! I would hate for Bird to have to come back as an angel and kick the
puck out of you to get going! You are a strong lady whom I admire! sam

[How ironic I was talking about you to family last night! My nephew saw the Habs rug and asked if I were a Montreal fan. I said, "Heck No! Wings baby, and besides I can't be on the same team there would be no one to root for or against in a given season plus the playoffs!" He was confused so I left it at that! lol Next Habs game I will be there!]
