I also wonder if postal mail will disappear entirely at some point in the future.

We have a blue mailbox right across the street from the post office and at the Library, which makes mailing a letter or bill convenient. I am a little sad that e-mail is becoming a priority instead of hand written letters. I still enjoy getting a letter in the mailbox, which now only happens occasionally.

You have me wondering about the blue boxes, too! I can't even think of one place where one would be in my town let alone my neighborhood! I live very close to a postal center and never think of looking for one so that may be why I do not have a clue! I did read recently regarding a thought of more junk mail might save the USPS, but then the would impact the tree situation too dramatically for me! I love how you entertain subject that spark my interest, too! sam

Well you would have to go a long way to find a blue one here FS  they are red, but one must be careful some are host to snails and guess what they do.

It's all about the technology now and the items that start with the word "smart" has taken over. hmm...

I would not predict what the world will be like in five years anymore.
Never did I ever believe that book shops would close. So many changes in my life.
