Blogit comments have helped me through my day and given me a shoulder
to cry on many times since I've come back. Depression took me away and depression brought me back.  Thanks to all of you, readers!

Yes, I agree.. there are many things that can make one leave
Myself, I tend to come and go.  If Afzal was not here, I would probably go more than come.

I appreciate the friendships and the fact that we are a close-knit community. We support one another during both good and difficult times.  Like others, I may take breaks to avoid Blogit burnout,  but I have no plans to leave permanently.

I left and came back...missed it too much to stay away...it is an addiction for me.

Re: numberonemcfan
I feel that makes a lot of sense. I know that I got burned out when was here from December 2007 to March 2008.

I've been doing this a little over two years, and I have a theory:  maybe they put so much out there too quickly and loose steam.  I have tried to keep most of my entries short for that reason....so it can be sustainable.  Your thoughts?

I will probably never leave Blogit for good, but I am not as faithful on a daily basis as I used to be.  It seems that I can't stay with reading and commenting for long periods at a time anymore.  I think my old-age attention span has shortened.

I notice a lot of writers are not here anymore FSI - miss them though and blogit seemed so much fun when they were here.

You've stated the difference well. But I guess there are some more reasons
why poeple stop blogging....in a place like India it could just be that a female blogger's spouse does not like the idea that she is blogging and directs her to stop it.

FSI
Some stay some go, that's just the way it is. It's certainly not about the money that keeps folks here because anybody can make more money doing almost anything. For me it's just an activity that makes life more interesting and maybe inspire somebody else or whatever.

People do come and go for a variety of reasons! I have to have my blogs pay for themselves or I would not stay around! I do not like to invest money without getting a return and at the very least breaking even! sam

FSI, I think, too, that a lot of people come onto Blogit thinking with a
"read me..read me..read me" attitude, which people do...but then they never return the read and then wonder why no one comes back to read them again...so off they go....

Yes you are right FS. Perhaps if folk could blog and not pay a fee and receive no reward er, er, what is that. No I think it might be better to let folk just read if they did not want to blog. I think let us know in good time though to change our nicknames. You don't want folk outside your business shouting WE Want F.S.
