I think going to a therapist would be a wonder. He has lived at home and kept himself in a small circle of people and fallen in love with one who is so far away, it will help to shake all this up and find his preferred place with him in the center. God bless you.

WOW...parenting is THE HARDEST JOB EVER!! It's hardest to let them make their own mistakes b/c we can't know if a decision they make will be harder our way or theirs until afterwards. Right?

he deffinatley has insecurities from others who have hurt him and he is afraid of that happening again, but he is leaving his country for her, he is almost 44 so I dont know if he will out grow it

It's a different world these days what with instant text messages & status updates...How old is he? It could just be his own insecurities or a phase he'll grow out of with time. My son did...aggravating as it is...will be praying
