Re:
Believe it or not, I think I saw Braveheart once all the way through, and it just didn't resonate with me. Good story, good production, good acting, good scenery . . . but I probably couldn't sit through it a second time. But like I wrote, everyone's tastes and opinions will vary, and I'm sure if I polled a hundred people posing the same question, I'd probably get a hundred different answers. That's okay. You like what you like, and you don't like what you don't like. There's a very good chance that some of my all-time favorite movies would never see any action on your DVD player. Different strokes, right?

Re: Mood......IN MY OPINION......has much to do with picking a favorite
See? In my opinion can go a long way in explaining and expressing yourself, with no chance of argument. All good choices, especially the Alfred Hitchcock collection for suspense ( pick one . . . you can't go wrong ). I like the old British war/stiff upper lip old school tie movies too. Care to combine the two? Check out a movie called "The Innocents" with Deborah Kerr. Hold on tight . . . lots of goose bumps with that one! For humor, I personally prefer to go way back to the old black & whites: The Marx Brothers, Abbott & Costello, Laurel & Hardy, Charlie Chaplin, etc. However, one of the funniest movies ever made, in my opinion, that you may or may not have ever heard of, is an obscure Peter Sellers movies from the mid-sixties simply called "The Party." Trust me on that one.

Mood......IN MY OPINION......has much to do with picking a favorite

There are different categories.......Romance.....Gone with the Wind, yes.   Awakening.....Schindler's List...UH Huh.  Suspence....Any of Alfred Hitchcock's masterpieces.

Humour....Danny Kaye....Musical....The Rose, by a mile......but that scene from Dancing in the rain is brilliant. Oh down the years there have been some gems.........I love all those old English war movies...so British stiff upper lip old school tie sort of thing with brave Battle of Britian fly boys etc.

IN MY OPINION.

For me, Braveheart, might be at the very part.  For children's movies, I go with Pinocchio, because that is what inspired me to pursue the creative outlet of writing.
