That was too funny for the state I live in is famous for its potatoes; yet, I have never thought about writing a poem to that effect! You are quite the slugger, lol! sam

LFor slugs I handpicked them, used slug traps, and beer bait sir. In my yard you would have enjoyed the other solanums: tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants plus the cool vine crops and beans beans beans and musical ones too sir. BC-A, Bill’s R®st

For some reason this reminded me of Andrew Marvell's
takeoff on flowery romantic poetry -- "To His Coy Mistress." I think there's a line or two in that one about slow vegetable love. I'm so happy you didn't answer the potato's question "am I a good spud?" with the cliche 'you're interesting and likeable, but don't meet our needs at this time.'

Very cute, CHIFFCHAFF
Certainly, gave me some food for thought...wonder if potato's have a preference to their earthly karma??? Do they prefer, baked, mashed, french fried or just plain fried

Um, which one? Or was it a one-eyed potato? Poor spud was a dud with a slug under its rug, er, skin.

..but I agree there must be a happy hunting ground for spuds, with no slugs allowed..

glad to see you're drinking again. I always have conversations with my potatos before I put them into another aspect of life.
