I read where boy turtles have red eyes. Shelly, yeah that's what I'm calling her, has brown eyes so I think she is a girl. So far I've been sharing my salad greens with her. She seems to like cabbage!

Hi Whacky! I don't know much about turtles, but I do know they can eat either meat or vegetables. I'd check with your local vet or maybe a nearby wildlife sanctuary? You can also ask around in your local pet shop. Some of them specialise in turtles. Good luck! Keep us posted, okay?

i've seen them eat a large variety of fruit and veggies. However, i am sure there is a list on the internet somewhere, just to be safe.
