Re: did you see this site?
Thank you, Ciel. We had not seen this sight, and it was helpful in that it seems to have been written by real people, and not just propoganda from the pharma companies. I have contacted a couple of the persons by private e-mail - we'll wait on their answer. In the meantime, we have an appointment with a doctor of Naturopathic Medicine next Tuesday. She was strongly afected by a family history of cancer, and geared her 4 year training into alternative and natural healing. We shall see. Thank you for your support!

did you see this site?
http://www.cancercompass.com/message-board/message/all,1804,0.htm
It is a message board from people who have used or are using tarcevera with their loved ones' cancer, and addresses concerns with personal experiences.
My best wishes to you and the Bird! All the support I can direct your way, I do.

This is tough! I'm sorry you're going through this right now...at a loss for words; strange for a writer. Just sending well wishes and hugs over the whole thing, Adnohr. I wish I had more knowledge on the subject, but alas...not so much.

Darling lady just give it to Him now and hold to each other. God has a greater plan for anything at anytime than we have. With or without the medication many are pleading this case. I got on the e mail train last night and as of this morning we have received feed back from prayer groops in Texas, Fla, Ga, Ala; there are many more to hear from. All these have other groups to contact. We are having the faith that whatever God chooses will be perfect. We love you both....

Darling I know nothing of this drug. All I know is I am praying for peace and blessing on you and your Bird. I am praying that you just ask God for wisdom and go forward with what you believe to be his answer. We are, of course praying for you both.

trouble is dearest that we retired nurses just don't know about these drugs
there are new and amazing drugs arriving all the time and i have read amazing things. Ultimately it id the bird's decision ......i would contact the Dr. ...try one dose.....he is tough and used to drugs...maybe the side effects won't hit him so hard. I am praying as you know. AND sending love and nonsense to make you smile.

P I feel sad about your bird. Certainly it’s worth the time and trouble to find the oral chemical. In any event, you’ll know that you tried love. BC-A, Bill’s RLJst

Call your doctor who prescribed it. You don't know until you ASK the questions! Then pray and put it in the Lord's hands. He will give you the decision to make. And know that his life is truly in God's hands at this moment. Sorry to hear of his condition. Sending prayers your way.

Sorry dear I have only had experience with older people dying . The main thing is to keep them free from pain. Perhaps this does that, but honestly I don' t Know it is a dreadful decision, but what ever you do will be done with love I am sure. You could contact the Doctor who prescribed the drug and ask for what was its sole purpose. I think I would phone him up if it was me and ask.

I am so sorry to read the latest on Bird! I have no knowledge on this drug! I went to WEBMD and got a mixed review on the medication's side effects! Some suggested taking a steroid and benadryl to offset the side effects! It's a tough decision, but honestly, I would do whatever it took to try to save him from this dreaded disease! He is in my prayers! sam
