An excellent post, Pat_B!  I love the way you tell it like it is...or, in this case, like it was. And a great ending...so true!

i went to University in Sydney in the late 80's and it was way more
acceptable.....the faculty had to add x amount of mature students so it was easier and everyone was singing....I am Woman but still.....one subject was Political Science....from the business school.... and the faculty for that subject decided that no Nurse student could do better than a credit ...and despite our protest...stcuk to it.

I was older than you and went and got my high school at night and I was 55, Then I got 1 year of psychology from York Un. So, I know what a trial that is to do and I didn't have to worry about the cooking.

I remember those floppy discs so well
and the bizarre, almost sinister grunting noise the PC would make when you used them to boot up...
