Sam444, the pace is not something to emulate in your own kitchen.

I can't handle the drama of those kinds of shows so I don't tune into them! They all freak over deadlines throughout and they seem to make it! sam

Re:
FSI, it's too precious to spend time trying to beat the clock in the kitchen, that's for sure.

Well we are on frozen WeightWatcher food dishes and have been for a couple of years. Every now and then Kabu cooks up a lamb roast or I'll do a roast of beef For sweets she will make lamingtons, ( Cake with coconut topping) or I'll bake bread.

Re:
TAPS, for some reason, I now watch fewer cooking shows. If  I want a recipe I do a google search. There the recipes don't come with a faked continuous smile.

Re:
Justi, the chopped shows are the worst of them all.

I can't watch those.  They don't interest me.
If I want to watch someone cooking, I watch Lidia Bastianich, or Giada De Laurentiis, or the Barefoot Contessa.  They don't ruin your appetite before the food is ready.

Hey, I am with you all the way. If you are talking about the chopped shows I think they are so extreme and not about creative cooking. They just give them crazy things to make meals from. I am surprised they have not had pigs ears to make desserts.
