Re: sam444
Thanks Sam, I think it will fall on deaf ears too as long as people believe the violence solves problems.

Thanks Rumor , it is a shame that those in power refuse to learn but then it's how they got in to power so why would they change?

Re: lionreign
It is, but does it have to be? I wonder what life would be like if we cooperated instead of competing. Thanks Wiley

Re: UtahJay
I tend to find that except in cases of lunacy there is always a chain of violence and domination, one thing begets another and each one worse than the last. I strongly believe that violence is a mode of thought and action that permeates our societies; violence of deed, of word, of influence, of economy are our stock in trade and our tools of choice and only a few people even try to turn away from them. I'm glad you enjoyed the poem

This rings true for me! And I wonder when we will learn that killing is not the answer! A truly poignant poem with an incredible message! However, I think it will fall on deaf ears! I think this one needs to hit the newspapers, magazines and Internet around the world! sam

lionreign...war seems to have been a way of life since time began....
you'd think our leaders would learn, but history just keeps repeating itself...the deceivers are as many as ever, and you've captured those feelings well.

Life is all about fighting and as we see our leaders always use fighting as a solution. Great poetry.......

I am sure they said a lot to keep the terrified passengers in line, just before the planes hit the buildings, but I did like the poem...It was thought provoking on both sides of the mind.
