Last year my sister had posted on facebook about an aunt that died. I only found out because my daughter saw it. I was surprised she hadn't called me with the news.

Isn't it amazing
that we have more methods of staying in touch than ever before and yet sometimes we're more isolated as a result?

Finding out things like that on Facebook, of all places, does not do a loving mother's heart good. I'd kick her in the butt next time I saw her. (Just kidding, but it would make me wonder where I went wrong in raising her. Then I would conclude that it was her dad's fault and that she was just like him.) I know you are thankful that she is okay.
