I love your flowers.
How wonderful to come here after getting several days behind
and finding such a variety for catching up on.

now that is what I'd call a true, blood-red flower....
and more are obviously on their way to join it.....

Re: yes there are blackberries here at the back of our property along with
Kabu please accept this communal reply today, but I did read about the blackberries as I  planted some thornless ones a couple of years ago and don't mind if they spread.

A pink. Diary notes after postponing my letter

from the doctor to have a blood and urine test

as I have not been to see her for 9 months.

I came away with the a gallon jar and an appointment

for early next Wednesday as I like to go early to obtain

a place in the nearest car park. I reposted a letter that

has repeatedly been delivered to me and decided to buy

a box of chocolates for an old lady who is poorly. I meant

to buy a pineapple because I did not know what to buy

from a man who calls monthly with things one cannot do

without so I bought a pineapple corer.

Instead I bought some bananas and pears for the ill lady

thinking she should not eat chocolates only and have some fruit

I did intend to pick some apples as I noted she still had her own teeth,

but I wondered if they would be too hard as the seeds are not ripe.

My brother came shopping with me and as to wanted to go to a

garden centre to get some silver sand for propagating I thought I

would leave the goodies with the said lady's brother. Also I wanted

to change a geranium on the parent's grave. My brother asked

where I was going and I said the Garden Centre.

"I'll come he said and have a look round,' I did not want him to

see the bag of goodies as I would have had to go into a lot of explanations.

So I said i have got to go to the cemetery and call in and see someone.

He said something like well I won't bother, I know what you are messing

around, so that got shot of him. I had three bags of sand and three

bags of John Innes compost on the little trailer it was quite heavy so I

tried to look pitiful after I had paid and received a small discount for

being in the local Garden society. There was a slope out of the Centre

so I asked the attendant if he would push the load up the slope.

He was quite amenable but left me to push it another fifty yards.

So I left the goodies with a brother who looked a bit bewildered

and said his sister was not very well at all. I changed the geranium

and filled my car with petrol as the tank was half empty.

That came to nearly thirty pounds I nearly bought two bottles of water

and looked at the sweets as I had only had one banana at six thirty

but today was day one of my diet regime.I resisted temptation

and looked at a machine that would blow tires up easily.

I did not purchase it My brother had cooked lunch Shrimps in batter

chips and peas and warned me he would be fishing tomorrow

as if I could not look after my own cooking having cooked

for well we won't go into that.  Have a nice week -end  if you have not fallen asleep.

yes there are blackberries here at the back of our property along with

wild strawberries and raspberries. our resident bear eats them all and I am not about to challenge her!!!!!

We have huge numbers of blackberries in Australia...grown wild and lush with big juicy berries to make the best jam.

The silly first settlers took them to Australia to grow in their gardens ...they went ferrell and now grow all through the hills and high country. have done so well, they took over from the natural habitat.

nice red this flower today dear friend.
