Don't need to be American to be worried about the American Economy

At least corks don't sink!
You're absolutely right in feeling that the economy in general is probably on everybody's mind right now. In one form or another, we are all affected. In my mind, three main solutions to consider: 1) get our production jobs back from China  2) stop sending billions of dollars ( our dollars ) to countries that turn around and betray us to our enemies ( hello Pakistan ) and  3) chalk up Afghanistan as simply "one that got away," bring our troops home, and cease funding these ridiculous, wasteful wars ( the worst part of that, of course, is it will appear as if our soldiers died unnecessarily. They must never be forgotten ). But please, don't ever expect our elected officials to practice common sense. That's not why they are in office. They are in office to further their own ambitions, and cater to the inner circle that is their friends, family, and closest supporters. John & Jane Q. Public are pretty much on their own. And don't bother breaking down the political parties. Democrat or Republican? How about gas chamber or firing squad? Remember . . . if you have selfish, ignorant citizens, you going to end up with selfish, ignorant leaders. Our future looks quite glib indeed!
