I like the "ignorance is bliss approach" although I realize that's really not the route to go. I stay in my little lah, lah land and hope things won't unravel completely before I kick the bucket. I guess that's apathy.... not sure.

Kabu, it is sad, indeed. There IS one thought, tho, that can help us. It's the worldwide perspective. We're lucky we don't live in China or N. Korea or Iran or anyplace where elections, if any, are meaningless.
