Hi Kabu I sometimes buy a sherbert fountain or two , but they are wrapped now it is not hygienic to expose the liquorice. I shall have to look those bean sticks up on the net, I expect they are crushed for animal feed. It was funny yesterday I was looking at scented carnations and I found this chap down in Somerset he must have been getting on a bit because he told me his Dad had died at Christmas at 92. Anyway he said he would sell me some scented plants in a forward position as most come by post as plugs. So I am looking forward to growing those with a bit of heat up to Christmas.

Your peppermint stick sounds lovely I always liked a boiled lolly.
Brighton Rock!!!!!! I was back there in Brighton a few years ago and bought my sister a stick for fun....but she has lost her inner child. Pity but there you are.

Sherbet...one bought a little bag of it with a licorice straw to suck it up with...well one got tired of the straw and ate it and went an got a teaspoon eventually to finish off the Fizzy.
I was never allowed to chew gum...little ladies didn't do that you know.
