That doesn't surprise me. Nearly 25% of all the food that is grown, harvested,prepared,packaged and transported around the country ends up being thrown away, for one reason or another! We could easily feed a half a dozen third-world nations annually with what we throw away! The next time you're in a restaurant or diner, glance over at the table next to you once that party has left, and you'll be sickened by what's still on their plates, which you know will end up in the dumpster. At least the bagged vegetables were salvageable!

When I dump the trash at the car washes I am amazed at all of the good food and clothing I find.
