It is a pink, same family, but different type of flower, there are garden P. perpetual P a cross by Allwood with carnations. scented P . Old world pinks . Dianthus of various type dwarf pinks
Perpetual carnations called greenhouse carnations here that one buys in bunches and have no scent. and then the old fashioned carnations that adorned the big houses in winter and were scented. Sweet Williams etc.

No not really Rumour they usually bloom until the frosts or I pick them and put them in little pots by the gate for the old girls who look out for them I suspect and men These are pinks but I have a carnation similar it has been too wet for a day or two
