As we are all a different music, seeking to match the melody of another

leads only to losing your own melody...   and to focus only on your own theme, you miss a universe of symphony!

At the same time, one's own melody should be, sometimes, focused on and appreciated, and sometimes even protected.  That can look like selfishness, especially to selfishness.
