Actually, Rumor,
It's a stand alone clothes rack against the wall. We're staying in a temporary house a friend of mine owns but doesn't occupy. It's REALLY small (like 900 sq ft small) so we got the rack for M's clothes. Evil Lion resides underneath the rack. I think he's fine with it.

SpitFire...
So now the lion sleeps tonight (and every night) in the closet, and Mariah no longer pulls half the clothes in the closet down (including the rack? Ouch!).....

Sir Strat, I wasn't sure if I was right about it but
(stopping her from rocking) but I know it can't do any harm to stop it. Oh, and yeah, clowns? They're just plain WRONG!

I can't say's I blame her, Young Miss..

I'm not crazy about noisemaking toys, either. But I especially hate creepy dolls and clowns and of course, the ultimate thing most likely to be voted a Sexual Predator, the plastic Burger King guy.

You're right, though -- you don't want her to start the rocking thing, methinks.

Yeah, Sam, I sure didn't want her to start doing that rocking thing.
Oh, and yeah, the lion. He's my personal clothes rack guardian!!

Right, Justi. I agree.
Poor thing so often seems tormented just by not being able to communicate with words, let alone having to fend off talking, singing and moving stuffed animals!

Thanks so much, Wiley-Pops!
So glad you're reading this!

I have a son that is sensitive to noise so I can appreciate when Mariah is coming from! I commend you for not allowing her to develop habits for self soothing that could ultimately be very bad for her! And way to go on the lion, we have to do what we have to do to keep things in order! sam

I am so sorry about your sweetie. She is feeling tormented. Odd but real to her.

Thank you, Sweet Kabu. Yes, I am glad that
she does (sometimes) accept my physical affection. I'm grateful for that.

The Rocking...it is a tough one to stop once started, i understand your
adverse reaction but how wonderful that M. can accept your cuddles. My heart just keeps reaching out towards you.
