Amen Justi - time is moving ever so fast - I see this in the Grandchildren as well.  I hear what they say and do and I'm amazed? I'm maybe more concerned because I think they know too much - and as far as life and all its changes --- nada - I'm the eccentric - the oddity - okay well, artsy and liberal at that but so conservative and like old fashioned things and I like TIME to move 'slowly' - I think I'll amble to ramble on with my boots now. Amen dear Justi! xoxox Connie Elyse

Time .. is relevant.. it never stops even though we sometimes want it too. Even memories have their place... I say. And the moment .. this moment is the most precious of all... now.

Quite right, things are moving too fast for our good.

A lot of this resonated with me too
but in my despairing moments I head for the fields where I can speak and listen more clearly

Everything seems to go so fast these days! We allow kids to grow up too quickly and then we fail them by allowing the things that were taboo in the past to take precedent on the present! I am with you on maintaining old fashion values as it were to the things that are going on today! I truly believe the Lord will pass His judgment accordingly to those who choose an unholy life where anything goes! Pay heed to Sodom and Gomorrah world! sam

The here & now is what a person makes of it. It's all about balance & perspective. We're here to help each other get through this thing called life. Being openminded, tolerant, respectful & considerate goes a long way. Some times, it's true, we have to go the extra mile. It's well worth it in the end. This world & the people in it are absolutely amazing. Always have been. Always will be.

It seems the faster the pace of life, the more stress there is. Thr more crude people become, the more crime there is. And while we can't go back to the old days, there is, among some of the young, a desire for a more simple life.

It's amazing how much things have changed in the last few decades.

Nor should there be a way back. But I think I can easily see why God cut the life span so drastically. One cannot easily live in two days of time. Thanks for your comment.

Sinome
I agree with you. I am not for covering up things just not hearing such blatant, gross language and the dress now is walking advertisment. I can tell I am old, very old. Thank you for bringing out those points about abuses to wifes and chldren. It was such a bad time for that.  There is much to be said for both; however, we cannot live too long without being unable to fit into the next day. Be blessed dear lady.

We do sound kind of crazy mixed up don't we.  I'm afraid there is no way back to what it used to be.

you are right... times have change and things are more explicit than they were before... when you and I were young,  but have they?  have they really changed or are things now more in the open so to speak.  It is true as you say that  the way people speak now a days would have been and still is in many circles considered crass and gross.  G-d knows that sometimes I cringe when I hear my son and his friends speaking and that many a time I have call them on the carpet for using fowl language in front of me or my guests... Though usually they know better than to do that in my house they slip sometimes because that IS the way they talk out there, in that world that seems not to care about bad words or touchy subjects anymore.  There were afairs and perverts and murder and terrible things when I was growing up,  but they were not spoken off, at least not in loud voices.   If your husband beat you, you would be ashamed and keep it quiet.  If a child was molested,  it was hushed up and the hope was there that it would be forgotten as she or he grew up.  If no one knew it did not happen?  If it was not talked about it did not exist?  Yes the world seems uglier now a days... but it is just the same world it always was... just more transparent . I do agree with you that maners make for a better looking life... after all we all know diarreah exists we just don't talk about it loll ... but maybe we should cut this new generation some slak and accept that this world they are living in is the world they inherited from us and not too different from ours  except in that everything is out there for everyone else to see... not a good thing if you have dirty laundry  ..... :-)  Be well dear friend  xoxoxo
