Sounds a nice village Malcolm most I have known have been taken over by commuters, or week-enders. The old villagers left in a few council houses

I like the peaceful sound of that summer fete. Here in tiny town, the event today features pontoon planes roaring as they engage in various contests on the bay. There are 20 of them.

That sort of thing was very well attended and very much enjoyed back in the days of my youth.  There seem to be not so many church fetes around here these days.  Pot Luck dinners still flourish.
