I got so irked...
I bought my own scan tool. The very first instruction is, "Do not replace components without confirming whether they, or the wiring or some other part in the system is the problem!" It took me 4 tries to find the bad oxygen sensor, and it only has 4!" But overheating along with a noise...sounds ominous, check for water in the oil or worse yet, oil in the water. Could be just a stuck thermostat, had that happen and they come and go until they just plain stick.

Yeah, that's about the time problems start popping out on cars. Too bad for all of us to reach that point.

ITs been so hot that the water in the radiators evaporates very fast... Maybe that is what happened to your daughter's car and the oil has nothing to do with it...Did you check that? I remember when something like that happened to me and I was so surprised to find out the car needed to be replenished with water... I never , ever did it! I hope its just a minor thing anyway ... and about the bad news posts... that is what we are here for, to listen :-) like you listen to us when we wine in our poems loll Be well xoxoxo-

It happened here, too! - recently. So I know how frustrating car problems can be. Finally, my tired old car developed too many costly problems to repair so I sold it cheap to a junk man. I've replaced it with an inexpensive used car who's original owner I know. But the frustrating process of changing cars is certainly no walk in the park with all the insurance, title, and plate changes to be made.

I hope it is nothing serious; however, I do agree with Malcom I am wearing out at a fast rate now. We have two cars with apx 180 ea. They both struggle.
