Jeff...
I too am suffering a disabling injury. However, mine was specifically listed by Social Security as a disabling injury so despite everyone's prediction I would be denied, I was accepted with my first application. It's not luck, luck would be to still be able bodied and working. Have you tried the lawyers that specialize in disability cases? I wish you success.
