Sure. I love roots, though I haven't the beauties that you have. I can't even get my geraniums to bloom again after the first blooms went away.

Ah yes ChCh - I did a huge clipping back in May and I'm glad I did...I had to treat many of my rose bushes with black spot treatment. I've seen the mockingbirds do that number that the sparrow does over your roses. I tell you though, right now being so dry, there are many many varmints after my gardens and ants are the most pesty right now. I just found more today when weeding.

oh they make me upset as they chew many a root. E.E.

E E. One has to keep a look out for mildew if the roots become dry and we usually have damp nights so that and greenfly. Sparrows are good little birds for taking greenfly. I love to see them searching the rose bush for a little tasty treat,
