Life is great isn't it?
And sometimes so great that we forget to post - I am far more guilty of this than you are I think! Hope you're well and still having fun

Oh, adnohr, how I've missed reading you!
And you're not old. I'm only 41 and I feel the same about the gatherings and getting back home. Hope you are feeling well.

I seem to quite often find myself being the oldest person in our fun gatherings now since my oldest sister is now w/c bound and does not attend much of anything.  I allow myself to have fun anyway though.

I adore how you enjoy family time.  I love(d) family get to-gethers and you describe so perfectly all the fun, pandemonium etc...and well, made me homesick for when we 10 siblings with our broods would gather.  And I agree, priorities do change and for some reason, I wonder myself, how in the world did so much time get away from me.  I enjoy reading you so much AD... Elyse

I find that my priorities have changed at times over the years.

Such a wonderful post. No you are not getting old, you are growing up! I hit that some time back and wondered how I ever put up with so much fun so long in any single evening!

This all sounds so familiar, especially after the party when you're back to the peace and quiet of your own turf.

Tired, maybe. Not old.
I find those gatherings exhausting, even though they leave me with a lot to smile about. I think I've gotten to the point where I know enough to leave before I wear out my welcome.

Of course! I like it that priorities change and we are not getting too old for the in crowd so to speak! I am inclined to agree with you that your schedule of late has been very rough for you! It would help if the appointments for Bird were on time and the information more forthcoming! Alas, they are in control and we wait, and wait... Fantastic win last night too! I love a sweep and this would be grand! The next best thing would in 5 and the Canucks could celebrate on home ice! You seem a litter more chipper today so I trust you got some sleep last night! And happy birthday wishes all around!!!!!   {Have you done anything with your garden yet?} sam
