It seems to be true, that if we don't like someone, if we try to get to know them, we may end up liking them after all.

Yes! ....
I myself do not enjoy the feeling of not liking someone and often want to get to know the person better to understand why. Probably because I want to know if it is something I see in the person that I perhaps do not like about myself .... interesting.

A bit harder if it is a woman Ms Straightforward, only a joke. there is a bit of good and bad in everyone, I don't know if I would go out of my way to get to know someone I really did not like. I am sure most folk would not, I know some people that I don't like much but it is not their fault it is mine.

He is revered among African Americans! But if he would have had to vote against slavery to save the union he would have done so! I am not a big fan of his! sam

Good thought really - You know Straight, I don't like to not like someone either - it's rare when I find myself truly not liking so I agree with this...it's good to find the why's or get to understanding or knowing the person more. Very good thought here. Made me think ~ Elyse
