New Zealand is an ecology that suffers from introduced species.
Mammals like cats and dogs and the Australian possum--much nicer than those harsh North American kind!--have wreaked devastation to the point of extinction on some of the unique bird species of New Zealand. The possums, protected in Australia, are killed for bounties in NZ where they prey on both birds and eggs.
