GypsyButterfly
On Anticosti Island where I was born, M Menier the Island owner at the time, imported deer from Europe that overran the Island, ate all the berries which starved all the bear and now the land that the Innu called it ‘Notiskuan,’ translated as “where bears are hunted” is bereft of bears but has a 6,000 deer population.

New Zealand is an ecology that suffers from introduced species.
Mammals like cats and dogs and the Australian possum--much nicer than those harsh North American kind!--have wreaked devastation to the point of extinction on some of the unique bird species of New Zealand.    The possums, protected in Australia, are killed for bounties in NZ where they prey on both birds and eggs.
