Just saw this post.  Very interesting.  Actually, it is a very complex subject for people are so different.  I was thinking from my own point of view, that of being always pretty single minded and hard headed with my own opinions and beliefs.  I can definitely see where you are coming from here because being open-minded is thought of so highly in our society.  There is such a thing as being too open-minded and having trouble settling in on important matters.  I have met a lot of "lost" individuals.

Yes, that is how I understood her, too.  And I agree with the sentiment, but the truth is, minds are not that hard to manipulate, and choices are not that hard to influence: children do it masterfully! 

Neuro Linguistic Programming--now that is,  in fact, a scary kit of tools.

Very interesting...
Imho, TAP'S comment was saying we can never really control another's thought process and/or belief system, no matter if we desire to and try hard to do so - ultimately the outcome or final product so to speak belongs uniquely to them. And that is a good thing, of course - effective mind control is a scary prospect.
