In our small town the DMV lines are not long, but you still have to make an appointment for a drivers test. In the larger cities you have to wait a LONG time until your number is called.

I renewed online and just had to then go in to get my picture taken
and for that, there was only 2-3 people ahead of me...so it didn't take nearly as long as it would have used to.

I do mine by post or the post Office FS last time I did it on the net my card was copied nothing to do with the system but it was a nuisance.

doing it on line can save one not just time...but be good for the health
I find that there is always someone coughing and sneezing in a line and you just know you will be sick in a few days.

Interesting indeed, FSI...

They have made many changes and cut backs in the offices here also. If it saves money without negatively affecting the function of the agency, I think it's all good.
