Mistakes have their place... (devastating to those in its wake) and sometimes learning takes place and growth is possible. ???
Does anything really make sense in this world... I wonder.

It is important, therefore, in a parental role, to be there in a loving way for the children, because it is from such relationships that people often form their concept of God.

It is sad that parents cannot parent perfectly and be all that every child needs and wants. But God is perfect and sets the perfect example for all parents and he promises to be a Father to the fatherless, and comforter and protector to the one who desires it. I can understand how the wounded might be wary.
