Good on you Jay, his interest is paramount. I remember snails in the UK were particularly fond of ivy as a hideaway.

Well Cuplets I like to grow mine on raised beds if possible. I find snails are the most annoying chaps they can chop through a tray of bedding plants by night and the hide quite a way from the scene of the crime.

How true...mine though spend their time in my ivey, but my grandson loves them so I let them stay.
