Re: Gerontian, you're going to rekindle my desire to write the odd sonnet.:)
He he, I often feel that my sonnets are quite odd.  But support from a writer like yourself is a tonic.  Thank you.

Re: sonnets
Thanks, UtahJay.  I love to read sonnets too.  I do not always choose to write in this form, but I enjoy the process and the challenge. Paradoxically, I find the form opens up ideas, that is, when I am really into the subject. I will try to share my thoughts and ideas about them in my journal.  Your encouragement means a lot.

Re:
Thanks for the encouragement and the welcome, sam.  I like the challenges a sonnet presents.  Most of mine don't "work," really, but the process feels like half the fun.  I am never quite sure about mine, so your comments are a very welcome support.

I am a fan of sonnets and this was marvelous! The previous sonnet is meritorious, too! Welcome to Blogit! sam

I love to read sonnets and have tried to write them from time to time, but feel somehow restrained by the form. It will be good to have you here to share this art of expression.

It is such a delight to find you here first thing in the day...

and to receive another gem from your treasury of poems!

This one made me read it several times slowly, to follow the weave of theme and words, to see the image in the tapestry.  Finally, I see it is a love poem.
