I remember...
Being thankful when both my boys were done with school and had jobs.  Now I am a grandpa and so the wonder begins all over again.

I think it's wonderful, too! Children are a wonderful blessing! However, I am glad mine are grown! Young adults are a lot of fun! sam

Surprise, INDEED! My first thought, would start w/the letters, "S&U, too."
As in "SUICIDE!" When my brat was born, I was thirty-three, or maybe I had just turned thirty-four, back in '78. Of course, that's the same year he turned BAD! The ex wanted to reproduce, and believe thee me, she sure made a little male, carbon copy of her whacko, schizophrenic self. She should have told me that she felt that need, and I'd have been inclined to let her inflict bestow him, upon someone ELSE!

Strat
I have missed you and now have had my wonderful dose of Strat humour and I thank you. Now to add to this debate, I have to tell you that at 75, I'm happy I helped raise my 5 children and had something to do with raising 4 others and now have 2 step sons I haven't met. However, all those people are doing fabulously well, and perhaps their keeping distant from me is better than having them turn me loose on an ice flow by myself.LOL Yep, at the end of the road I'm content to look back and realize I left some good humans behind.
