I totally loved this poem John - the questioning is phenomenal.

And why not bask in its glory as well! Superb ending for me! I have pondered about tomorrows starting today! I really enjoyed the imagery throughout! sam

Ye well I expect you fired your haystacks long ago John that is where the ashes come from. The girls seem to like being criticized by you. I am beginning to think of you as a torturer using a feather. No honestly John you should criticize again I loved the way your victims disregarded your comments and wriggled out happily without wanting to change anything, Be careful however what you write yourself a young lady expressed her distaste for a word (wee)  and I had to go back and alter the line. Are you a stone in the Sun John could withstand cold water poured over you? As I don't think so I will leave you the glow of good will. Welcome back from your long holiday in the Sun.

That place we all search for and so few find, yet it is always there before us...well done.

Hi there JFM, couldn’t agree more with Troosha, without today there is no tomorrow and I need constant reminder of this fact for I fall off the wagon often and try and get too far ahead of myself, which is a total waste of energy.

Without a "today" there would be no "tomorrow".  Enjoyed your introspection.  Might I add, jfm, that you always leave such a mindful comment.  It's never a quick click and I really appreciate how you take the time to express how a poem makes you "feel".  It makes me feel as if you've truly grasped my work or, at the very least, digested the thoughts or words.  Thank you.  We need more commenter like you around.
