Ones self-image is a difficult thing to balance.
It seems one levels off at too high or too low, and both cause us pain.

aaaah thank you, I misinterpreted slightly. One only has to read your poems to determine that you are not ordinary

C.C., the answer is no one...its not that you're unworthy at all...maybe unsuspecting but not unworthy..

Re: Whoa, tragedy...the ending is very strong and sad!
I don't think I have ever been nasty to you Ariala, so I can't be any nicer on this be nice day. Thank you. As my Uncle said 'Look that is my wife coming back from shopping, she has bandy legs. I wouldn't have married her if I had known.' Thank you for your comments.

This feels very deep and somehow a touch jaded and disillusioned. Brilliantly written but I'd disagree - I have never yet met an ordinary person

Self-image...now that’s a touchy subject. We are our harshest critic; am I good enough, could I have done it better, could I have done it differently, of course, but that moment has past like a scorched teardrop that evaporates before you can feel it escape down your cheek. We are all worthy and you my friend are no ordinary.

I wonder about the innocence of it all and as with the ending we ponder our worth! It is a fine poem with many nuances creating food for thought for I could take it to my own experiences and then ponder what may have been or what could have been done differently! sam
