I'm going to play devil's advocate here...
Dear employee:
We are advertising for new cashiers because we pay them less. We hope that by running you to silly training meetings that you will simply quit and that way we save your wage and don't have to pay unemployment comp, that is, what little we pay. We want you to push the credit cards so we can rake in the interest from those same people won't be able to discern how outrageous it is because they can't read the disclaimers.
Finally, you really don't expect us to give customer service do you? That is only a motto and is to be treated as such.

I hate being pushed for credit cards that I have no intention of signing for...and I find that almost all cashiers are like you ...they understand that no means no. You rock girlie....
