I had a boyfriend once, long ago when pagers were popular. I hated them! they would always beep at the worse possible time! <smile>

When I was a nurse, I had to carry a pager. I very much disliked it, as it just added to all the other parafernalia a nurse had to carry. But, they served a purpose I guess.

FSI, and it doesn't seem too long ago everyone had pagers....
Now they're just about obselete except in a few odd jobs....yes, I can remember when the only tv available was black and white, and Boston Blackie was the radio detective of the day..

changes is right, I remember when all anyone had was black and white TV and still listened to the Lone Ranger on the radio...I think that the day is coming fast when all we will need is our cell phone, we can now change stations with it and start our cars too, not to mention blog and read on blogit.

The only person I knew to carry a pager was my doctor! It would be kind of funny when she would have to get up from our pew on Sundays to answer the page! It embarrassed her a bit but we all knew why she had to run to the phone! lol sam
