Re: I hope it is not your swan song!

Thanks Randir, the "This" in the poem actually referred to a collection of journals in which all my poems are written rather than that one song...  (which would be a poor song)

Well Lionreign you do write very good poetry... But so long as we think of  what God will be pleased with us about after our life on earth is done; then we can have a happy eternity. Glad to have you back we all missed you. There is a new Simon's cat for you to watch through a link on my blog today if you have the time. Hope all is well. :)

Well thank goodness we shall never know Lion, we will probably all sound very old fashioned.

Just enjoy it while you can probably or have a jokey one put on a tombstone which will plastic in a few years time. Good poem.

This is genuine! I thought about it as I was reading and came to the conclusion that if we are fortunate enough to leave a little of ourselves behind, even if only words, we have done well for it took me to the poets of time gone by and how fortunate we are they put their thoughts on paper! Grand poem and thought provoking, too! sam

It is how I know you know to be factual, but is definitely something I think all writers think about when the years get behind us.

posted by UtahJay on March 31, 2011 at 4:21 PM | link to this | reply

If you become history, I am sure all your writings will be recalled. It is like any other famous writer. But after we are gone who cares if we were read or not. The goal is to be read today. You sure made our mind thinking.
