Re: lionnreign, isn't that the spot on truth...
Oh I'm not sure about the confidence, but it would be nice to really know what I thought I did back then...

Sometimes I feel quite aged, but then I try to spend time reconnecting with younger friends and I regain my perspective

perhaps it should be everyone's life goal, to actually know as much as a teenager thinks they do

Re: Cheerygirl
I suppose it is because as Teenagers we are unaware of the options and consequences that surround us. They are still here for a while yet as my intermittant presence shows

lionnreign, isn't that the spot on truth...
Teenagers are confidently convinced they know everything, but as we grew up we discovered how wrong that was....but still, to have some of that confident boldness back again would sure help..very well said..a bit melancholic, but so it should be.

Don't we all Neil :-)... Don't we all wish we could have that self-confidence of youth... but it did not come from being wise... Now, when we realize how much we do not know... now we are closer to wisdom but the price of entrance is insecurity... we can't win, can we? loll I have missed you :-) xoxoxo

It`s a pity in a way, that we can`t `fast forward,` then we would know we were right.

I think I could entertain this as well! It might not have changed to much, but the added insight would have made its own significant difference! Great pondering poem! sam

Very good. It is astonishing really, because I was saying the same thing recently as I reflected on something from years ago. I wonder why when we are teenagers we think like this unyet when we are older we look back and think why? Why was that? ha ha. Good one. Have a great evening :) Hope your friends stay has ended well if they have now left... :)
